Wedmin: Skin Preparation and Treatments for the Ultimate Bride

It is every woman’s dream to feel her absolute best on her special day. All your nearest and dearest congregating to celebrate you. All eyes/iphones on you. Photographers capturing every moment. It’s a tough job being a bride, so here is a little guide to ensure all beauty boxes are ticked.

Smooth, glowing, radiant SKIN

Everyone wants to have that instagram filtered looking skin. Here’s how….

Everyone is curious about botox- whether it be preventative or corrective. Nobody wants pesky static faint lines on their forehead or wrinkles round the eyes, ruining that perfect picture of you. Many brides-to-be are undergoing the needle for the first time pre-wedding.

This can be a daunting experience. Many clients come to me worried that they will end up looking ‘frozen’ or ‘constantly shocked’! Botox, when performed by appropriate practitioners, can result is a subtle enhancement, leaving the client looking (and feeling) refreshed and rejuvenated. Its the subtle ‘tweakments’ that can lead to wonderful results.

Any bride-to-be wishing to undertake botox prior to a wedding will need to leave enough time in order for the botox to kick in. I suggest to many clients to have a ‘trial run’ with botox months before the big day to ensure they like the look/feel.

My advice for any woman wishing to go for botox prior to her wedding day would be to see a professional practitioner for a consultation. A full treatment plan based on your goals and expectations can be devised which will reassure any anxieties!

Initial consultation/Trail: at least 4-5months prior
Wedding Botox: 1 month prior
Cost: Depending on area/amount of botox
Facial Peels for Wedding Brides

Get instantly glowing skin with a glycolic facial peel! Chemical glycolic peels are a light non-invasive treatment which removes the upper layers of dead and damaged skin. This in turn encourages skin cell regeneration and provides a gentle treatment for fine lines, acne, chronic dry skin, dull skin, pores and blackheads and uneven pigmentation. Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that occurs naturally in sugar cane and is the most common ingredient of light chemical.

Wedding Peel: Every 3-4 weeks at least 6 months prior
Cost: Dr.Krystyna ‘Get The Glow Glycolic Peel’ £90/session. £225 for block of 3

Want long term, hydrated and youthful skin for the momentous day? Have you heard of Mesotherapy?

Facial Mesotherapy is a skin rejuvenation procedure that has been used in dermatology and aesthetic medicine for some time. It is a non-surgical skin treatment that involves using micro injections to apply natural ingredients already found in the skin. It helps to combat the natural sagging and ageing of the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The skin is then left feeling rejuvenated and toned.

Mesotherapy uses active ingredients e.g. Hyaluronic acid, Vits A B C E and K, multiple amino acids and and minerals. These, after injected into the epidermal layer of the skin, encourages skin regeneration.

To achieve the best results, several treatments are recommended (between 3-5)
Wedding Mesotherapy: Approx 6 months prior
Cost: £150-200/session
